Overview

Responsibilities

  • Process design of Water / Wastewater Treatment Plants and / or sewerage / water systems that achieve Anglian Water goals for customer, environment, and efficiency, including modelling results where required.
  • Maintain responsibility for the quality of their work and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team.
  • Ensure that process safety principles are incorporated in designs, including consideration of LOPA and DSEAR.
  • Comply with POSWSH / POSWASTE.
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop 3D models and solutions.
  • Perform process calculations, hydraulics, unit processes, pump calculations, and capacity calculations; prepare data sheets.
  • Conduct technical bid analysis of third-party process equipment.
  • Support the Process Discipline Head in driving health and safety excellence, producing safe designs in line with CDM Regulations, standards and codes of practice.
  • Ensure all technical work meets the correct standards and specifications; adhere to MAS requirements and offer challenge where applicable.
  • Maintain personal quality and consistency of all process engineering technical documents.
  • Work with lead team members to ensure technical deliverables are checked and approved.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels to deliver technical excellence and escalate issues related to time, cost, or quality to the Technical Manager before problems arise or deadlines are missed.
  • Educated to degree level in water / wastewater process science / engineering or related subject.
  • Experience of process engineering and demonstrable experience in water / wastewater and biosolids treatment.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification such as CIWEM or an MSc; membership of a professional body.
  • Advanced level of English and ability to work in English.
  • Willingness to travel to the UK on a regular basis.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level in water / wastewater process science / engineering related subject.
  • Experience of process engineering; demonstrable experience in water / wastewater and biosolids treatment.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification such as CIWEM or a relevant MSc; member of a professional body.
