The Role

We're looking for a

CPA (or equivalent US qualification) to lead BruntWork Bookkeeping.

You'll be both builder and operator—creating the division from the ground up, ensuring technical excellence, and leading a growing team of bookkeepers.

This role requires someone with deep expertise in US accounting, the ability to build trust with clients, and the leadership chops to scale a business unit from zero to growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Division Setup :

Build the operating framework, systems, and processes for BruntWork Bookkeeping.

  • Technical Leadership :

    • Provide CPA-level oversight to ensure compliance with US accounting standards.

  • Client Delivery :

    • Oversee and guide bookkeeping services — accuracy, reporting, and deadlines are non-negotiable.

  • Team Leadership :

    • Hire, train, and manage offshore bookkeepers; instill discipline and high performance.

  • Client Communication :

    • Act as the expert face of the division — advising clients with clarity and confidence.

  • Growth & Scale :

    • Partner with the sales team to convert leads into long‑term clients and grow revenue.

    What We're Looking For

  • Active

    • CPA license

    (or equivalent US-recognized credential).

  • Strong knowledge of

    • US accounting principles, GAAP, and bookkeeping standards.

  • Hands‑on experience with

    • QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite

    , or similar systems.

  • Proven success in

    • leading teams

    and building scalable operations.

  • Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex financials in plain English.
