The focus of this role is the day-to-day coordination and execution of international freight movements across multiple markets. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with the branded merchandise team, global procurement team and local operations teams to provide the interface between the logistics providers and the company, making a positive impact on profitability for the company and our clients by ensuring our branded merchandise are transported and imported in a quick and compliant manner to every market and fulfilling the legal requirements needed to able local offices to import the goods in each market.
Responsibilities
- Arranging international shipment of branded merchandise from pick up to required delivery points on time and in budget
- Ensuring all necessary documentation, including Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin + Licenses, is supplied and accurate to ensure a smooth movement of goods.
- Tracking shipments and troubleshooting problems
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers globally ensuring that they are kept informed and always updated
- Managing relationships with transport companies and freight forwarders, negotiating the best price
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of import / export requirements within the markets and provide guidance to stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate contracts are in place with all international logistics suppliers, to minimize supply chain risks
- Monitor, audit and actively manage logistics supplier relationships and performance against KPIs to ensure quality and service are delivered
- Ensure business systems are accurate and maintained with required information
- Manage and report compliance within legislative and / or regulatory requirements
- Ensure all international logistics activity adheres to company policies and guidelines with regards integrity, approval process and audit trails.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in administration, logistic, industrial engineering, marketing, or related careerMinimum 4 years of experienceExpert knowledge of key logistics and freight providers via land, sea, and airExperience of international transportation regulations, legislation, and procedures, particularly Customs Compliance + Regulations across the regionExperience of all related international transportation documentation such as Air Waybills (AWBs) and Bills of Lading (BOLs) and International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS)Proven experience of working successfully with multiple stakeholder groups and / or locationsResponsibility for own actions and work under own initiativeFlexible approach to daily tasks and workload; Ability to quickly understand business priorities and client needs to deliver the right outcomesEffective influencing and negotiation skills, through both written and verbal mediumsFluency in Spanish and English (for business)Excellent attention to detail; administratively organized and disciplinedMultitask and fast trouble resolutionHigh communication ability and capable to adapt and understand different cultures and proceduresAbility to work under pressureCapable of easily establishing business relationships and creating a teamwork environmentOther
