We're looking for a Category Manager who is passionate about analytics, strategic growth, and category development. The main goal of this role is to identify business opportunities and drive category growth through actionable insights, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration with the sourcing, marketing, product, and commercial teams. Responsibilities Identify category development opportunities based on demand data analysis by country, market trends, and current catalog performance. Evaluate catalog breadth and depth. Benchmark assortment, pricing, brands, and customer experience against market competitors. Plan and guide the sourcing team by sharing demand insights and supply gaps to support the search and onboarding of new vendors and sellers. Design growth strategies by category, defining value propositions, positioning, and expansion tactics for each market and channel. Define the strategic role of each category (e.g., traffic driver, margin builder, acquisition, AOV booster). Coordinate marketing campaigns with the marketing team, ensuring alignment with growth goals by category. Collaborate with local commercial and revenue teams to define competitive and profitable pricing, margins, and promotions by category. Propose improvements to the user experience in collaboration with the product team, optimizing navigation, filters, category pages, and other key functionalities to boost conversion and visibility. Monitor category KPIs and performance metrics, and propose corrective or acceleration plans as needed. Key metrics : GMV, margin, CVR, traffic, average ticket, turnover, NPS, campaign ROI, consignment performance. Identify cross-sell and bundling opportunities across categories. Act as the internal point of reference for the category, creating reports and presentations for key stakeholders. Define and communicate the share / composition of each business unit / vendor within the category, along with related KPIs to local teams. On an operational level : Coordinate with the design team to create all required assets. Build and monitor all necessary landing pages for the category. Analyze KPIs across all channels for the category. Improve product listings and communication. Optimize the category tree. Define category-specific whitelists & blacklists. Requirements Previous experience in similar roles (Category Manager, Business Analyst, Product Manager, etc.), ideally within e-commerce, retail, or marketplaces. Strong analytical mindset and results-driven approach. Knowledge of key commercial levers : pricing, margin, assortment, promotions. Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with diverse teams (Sourcing, Marketing, Product, Commercial). Excellent planning, communication, and influencing skills. Preferred : knowledge of data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, advanced Excel, SQL.
