Overview

Azumo is looking for a highly motivated Senior Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Ruby on Rails (RoR). The position is based remotely in Latin America and the developer will work in the EST / PST time-zone.

The role involves collaborating with engineering teams on SaaS and big data computing projects. You should excel with minimal technical supervision, meet time constraints, and contribute to delivering high quality RoR applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and test server features and robust APIs
Integrate existing applications with third party systems
Evaluate multiple approaches and technologies to solving a problem

Requirements

Basic Qualifications :

BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience

3+ years of backend development experience with Ruby on Rails

1+ year of experience with frontend technologies based on virtual DOM (React or Vue.js)

Deep expertise with Linux and hosted cloud environments (Heroku, AWS, App Engine or other)

Practical experience with open source technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases

Experience integrating solutions with 3rd party APIs (RESTful, OAuth, JSON)

Self-driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset

Preferred Qualifications :

Love for coding and willingness to be agile

Hacker spirit within a collaborative team

Compensation is commensurate with experience and candidate potential. This role is based remotely in Latin America with the Azumo team.
