Contract Type : Full-Time, Fixed-Term (Initial 2-year contract with potential for renewal)

Position Overview

As part of the school's continued commitment to academic innovation and internationalisation, they are now seeking an experienced Secondary Information Technology (IT) Teacher to join the high school team.

This is a core teaching position suited to an educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality IT instruction. The successful candidate will teach IT and Computer Science across secondary grade levels (Grades 9 - 12), helping prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE and AS / A Level examinations, while fostering essential digital literacy and technical skills across the school.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging IT and Computer Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum.

Teach IT / Computer Science across secondary grades (primarily Grades 912).

Prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE and AS / A Level IT / Computer Science examinations.

Promote digital literacy, coding, and responsible technology use across the school community.

Design differentiated learning experiences to meet the needs of a diverse student population.

Assess, record, and report on students progress regularly.

Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects incorporating technology and innovation.

Contribute to the schools broader educational mission through participation in school events, clubs (such as robotics, coding, or multimedia), and professional development initiatives.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an educator who is :

A fluent English speaker (native-level proficiency preferred) or B2 or higher English level

  • A qualified teacher (PGCE, QTS, state license, or equivalent).

Experienced in teaching IT and / or Computer Science at the secondary level, ideally with familiarity with the Cambridge International Curriculum.

Knowledgeable in coding, programming languages, and digital tools.

Skilled in differentiation and adaptable teaching strategies.

Collaborative, flexible, and culturally sensitive.

Open to working in a bilingual school community (Spanish not required but a plus).

Compensation & Benefits

Salary

Base salary : COP $5,312,300 / month

Second language bonus (English) : COP $2,641,000 / month

Total Monthly Salary : COP $7,953,300

Semiannual bonuses : COP $2,656,150 (July & November)

Round-trip airfare on arrival and biennially thereafter
