About Us :

Our client is a rapidly growing fintech SaaS platform that is disrupting their space and now looking to bring on their true Head of Accounting (Controller) to play a foundational leadership role within the organization. This individual will report to the CFO and oversee a junior accountant.

FULLY REMOTE MUST BE IN EST TIME ZONE

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, leading the preparation and execution of the annual financial audit and supporting tax return finalization.
• Serve as the company / 's subject matter expert on technical accounting matters, with a strong emphasis on ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) for complex subscription models.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end billing process, collaborating with technical teams to improve system outputs, reduce manual work, and ensure invoicing and collection accuracy.
• Design, implement, and document key financial policies, procedures, and internal controls from the ground up to support the company / 's growth and ensure audit readiness.
• Manage daily cash operations, including vendor payments, customer collections, and short-term cash flow forecasting.
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
• Partner closely with the CFO to support strategic initiatives, provide data for financial analysis, and assist with management reporting.
