The Professional Services Engineer role supports Allot’s solutions across North America. Reporting to the Regional Delivery Manager, this position works directly with customers and partners, collaborating with Product Management, Pre-Sales, Solution Architecture, and R&D teams to ensure seamless deployments and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and integrate Allot’s products at customer sites and remotely.
- Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs), trials, and product demonstrations.
- Deliver technical training to partners and customers (on-site and remote).
- Perform system installations, upgrades, and interoperability testing (IoT).
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including Acceptance Test Plans (ATPs) and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
- Stage and validate customer systems in the lab to ensure readiness and functionality.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor and lead in front of customers and partners.
Must-Have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in Professional Services within telecommunications or network security.Strong Linux administration and hands-on experience.Deep knowledge of TCP / IP, routing, and switching.Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, OpenStack).Hands-on expertise with servers (HP, Lenovo, Dell).Strong troubleshooting skills with a service-oriented mindset.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-driven, adaptable, and able to work outside regular hours when needed.Nice-to-Have (Advantages)
CCNA certification.Knowledge of 5G, GSM, LTE, and 3GPP cellular networks.Experience supporting Communications Service Providers (CSPs).Linux Bash and scripting (Perl, etc.).Network design experience.Familiarity with SQL / DBMS (Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL).Knowledge of storage solutions (NetApp, EMC) and technologies (SAN, NAS).Understanding of network authentication protocols (Diameter, Radius, Tacacs).Experience with network security (firewalls, VPNs, IPS / IDS, DPI).Exposure to network management tools (HP OpenView, Cacti, etc.).Travel Requirements
