Overview

Talento is seeking a Junior Operations Specialist to support our logistics operations and assist in managing freight transportation. This is an entry-level role, ideal for individuals eager to build their career in a fast-paced logistics environment while gaining hands-on experience in transportation management.

Responsibilities

Manage FTL and LTL shipments to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation.
Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers, drivers, and clients.
Actively track and trace shipments in real-time, providing timely status updates to customers.
Entry and Management : Accurately enter FTL shipment data into the Transportation Management System (TMS) or other relevant software, maintaining accurate records of bookings, tracking updates, and delivery confirmations.
Update information in TMS systems to maintain visibility and compliance.
Maintain direct phone contact with existing drivers and owner-operators.
Engage with carriers from the database to ensure clear communication and seamless operations.
Handle complex customer situations promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with internal teams to improve operational processes and enhance service quality.
Stay updated on transportation procedures, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Experience : 0–2 years in logistics, transportation, or a related field (internships or academic projects count).

Education : Technical diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress).

Problem-Solving : Ability to think quickly and resolve challenges effectively.

Proactivity : Takes initiative and anticipates potential issues before they escalate.

Attention to Detail : Ensures accuracy in documentation, communication, and processes.

Eagerness to Learn : Motivated to deepen logistics knowledge and grow professionally.

Communication : Clear and professional in both written and verbal interactions.

Collaboration : Works well in a team environment, contributing to shared goals.
