Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Director who has a proven background within meat / protein categories.

Base pay range : $120,000.00 / yr - $150,000.00 / yr

You'll make sure we deliver on our promise to customers by helping to negotiate the best prices at the highest quality. The key objective of the role is to prepare buying decisions which develop the sales and profitability of the business considering market, qualitative and commercial factors.

Responsibilities

Sourcing, building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
Working collaboratively with the global buying departments
Ensuring best cost prices are achieved across the department
Ensuring selected product lines achieve delivery timeframes whilst maintaining quality
Attending trade shows including international & meeting suppliers
Negotiating the best contracts & terms with both suppliers and providers
Forecasting effectively

Qualifications

Proven previous senior experience within procurement in the meat and protein industry

Experience of global sourcing

Ability to develop and motivate a team is essential

Strong attention to detail & ability to prioritise multiple workloads essential

Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing retail market

Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise / influence effectively at all levels
