This role oversees the core operating functions : market management, service partner relations, and work order execution, while driving efficiency, accountability, and financial performance.Division Leadership & StrategyDesign and execute an operating plan that integrates systems, processes, and KPIs across client success, market management, and service partners.Partner with executive leadership on resource allocation and priorities that directly impact EBITDA, client retention, and scalability.Business Systems & Technology EnablementOptimize operational technology stack (field service management, ERP, and analytics tools), ensuring tools enable scale and efficiency.Drive adoption of automation and AI-driven tools to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and unlock scalability.Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to future-proof systems and ensure seamless integration across business units.Oversee the full work order lifecycle, ensuring real-time system updates, on-time completion, rapid close-outs, and accurate billing.Market Leadership & Partner RelationsLead Regional Managers, ensuring sites meet and exceed client expectations through intentional quality assurance processes.Strengthen field-level relationships, manage escalations swiftly, and oversee regional service partner recruitment to guarantee reliable coverage.Drive partner-lifecycle excellence : targeted recruiting, seamless onboarding, compliance assurance, and continuous performance evaluation.Establish consistent operating rhythms—dashboards, huddles, retrospectives—that align teams and ensure a single, coordinated response to clients.Embed company values into daily operations, making them tangible through behaviors and performance expectations.Reinforce accountability by linking performance metrics directly to financial and operational outcomes.Financial & Scalability ImpactOwn the P&L; for operational divisions, driving budget adherence, margin expansion, and EBITDA growth.Partner with Finance and Sales to ensure operations enable enhanced sales growth and client retention.What Success Looks LikeThe Director of Operations will be evaluated across four dimensions : Operational Excellence – service quality, readiness, resolution speed, and accuracy of executionPartner Network – onboarding speed, coverage, compliance, and qualityFinancial Impact – margin expansion, budget discipline, enhanced sales growth, and EBITDA achievementPeople & Culture – leadership strength, employee engagement, and cross-team collaborationWhat You BringExperience & Education10+ years senior-level, multi-site operations leadership in landscaping, facilities, or a comparable service industryBachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced credential preferredManaged services experience preferredProven success leading enterprise transformation—integrating teams, systems, and processes to improve EBITDA and client retentionExpertise in business systems integration, automation, and leveraging technology to scale service deliveryStrong record of implementing operational platforms (ERP, field service technology, analytics)Demonstrated ability to lead leaders (directors / managers) across complex, distributed environmentsAbility to travel nationally
