What You Can Expect
Global Business Services (GBS) drives alignment among business units to integrate governance, locations, and business practices across the enterprise to achieve transformative performance improvements. GBS drives collaboration and sharing to improve delivery efficiency, effectiveness, and business outcomes. The Americas GBS RTR Associate Manager directs activities of the GBS Record to Report (RTR) department to ensure timely, accurate and reliable reporting and services to Zimmer Biomet entities, cross functional teams and the stakeholders and customers of GBS. Departmental responsibilities include but are not limited to driving effective communication, setting team priorities, reviewing activities, issue resolution and escalations, data analysis, and ensuring compliance to Zimmer Biomet policies and procedures.
How You'll Create Impact
- Oversee GBS RTR processes and activities, including :
Period End Close : Closing the general ledger, posting adjusting journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and reviews and approvals.
Intercompany Processing and Reconciliation.Financial and External Reporting.Additional General Accounting.Finance Master Data ManagementProvide leadership and manage the RTR GBS team.Oversees BPO resources integrated into GBS RTR service delivery model and team structure.Execute requirements for SOX controls and compliance reporting, and manages review process.Manage staffing assignments to ensure appropriate coverage of areas within the department.Set strategic goals & priorities for department. Manage compliance for department.Oversee the selection, training, work assignments and development of staff.Ensure GBS PTP process are incorporated and followed, updated and monitored for maximum efficiency.Develop, update and train staff regarding required documentation (Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Desktop Procedures, and Training Records).Develop, capture, analyze and communicate department and individual performance metrics.Monitor reports and other performance metrics in order to identify departmental and individual strengths and weaknesses, and respond accordingly.Execute process improvements, technology implementations, and automations to streamline the efficiency and effectiveness of the Americas RTR process.What Makes You Stand Out

Your Background
Bachelor's Degree required5+ years of experience in Accounting and Financial Reporting inside large and complex multinational organizations. Additional experience preferred.Previous Supervision or Leadership experience required.CPA or equivalent required; must be up to date on accreditation requirements.Must have a working knowledge of US GAAP and other regional and global accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, IASB).B2 plus level of english.Travel Expectations
