Staff Relations Senior Manager - Regional Lead

What You Will Do
- Lead and drive employee relations strategy, ensuring operational excellence, adherence to Amgen’s core values and HR principles, and alignment with global policies and practices.
- Provide culturally and legally appropriate guidance and solutions; oversee, supervise, and support a team of Staff Relations Managers providing coverage for LATAM, United States, and Puerto Rico.
- Ensure consistency, compliance, scalability, performance, and collaboration across geographies.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for business leaders and HR partners on Employee Relations matters in the LATAM region, including HR investigations, performance management, and discipline.
- Conduct and / or supervise thorough, impartial, and timely HR investigations; maintain confidentiality and objectivity; prepare investigation summaries and supporting documentation.
- Supervise a team of Staff Relations Managers and partner with colleagues in the United States and Puerto Rico to handle escalations and sensitive matters.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on regional metrics; identify trends based on data; contribute to global learning and process improvement.
- Collaborate with other teams to deliver training on HR policies, investigations, and respectful workplace behaviors.

Basic Qualifications :
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Staff Relations and / or HR Investigations experienceOr Master’s degree and 4 years of Staff Relations and / or HR Investigations experienceOr Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Staff Relations and / or HR Investigations experienceIn addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, a minimum of 2 years of experience directly managing people and / or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing resource allocationPreferred Qualifications :
6+ years of Human Resources experience with Employee RelationsKnowledge of employment law and Employee Relations practices in LATAM and the U.S.Experience managing or mentoring HR professionalsAbility to establish and maintain strong partnerships with other HR and business functionsExperience conducting internal HR investigations and advising on performance management, discipline, and involuntary terminationsAdvanced proficiency in English and Spanish with excellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to learn and fairly apply company policy, investigation procedures, and regulatory guidelinesExperience working across different countries and cultures with a commitment to understanding cultural norms and varying lawsStrong judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling complex and confidential mattersProficient in Microsoft Office tools, Teams / WebEx, Workday, and case management systems such as EthicsPointWhat You Can Expect Of Us
