Position : Sourcing Manager, NA Chemicals and APIs
Location : Hybrid (Latin America, Colombia, Distrito Capital de Bogota, Bogota)
What You Will Do
- As a Sourcing Manager, NA Chemicals and APIs, you will manage and optimize the sourcing strategy for the company's raw material chemicals, drive cost savings, mitigate supply chain risks, and foster strong supplier relationships.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for raw material chemicals.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and sustainability standards.
- Analyze market trends, cost structures, and risk factors to recommend sourcing strategies and provide insights to leadership.
- Build and manage long-term relationships with key suppliers across regions, ensuring reliable supply chains and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable conditions and manage performance.
- Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs, improve product quality, and streamline procurement of raw materials.
- Proactively manage risks related to supply chain disruptions, regulatory changes, and commodity price fluctuations.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to ensure raw material availability and integration into production.
- Coordinate with finance for cost forecasting and budgeting; work with regulatory and legal teams for compliance.
- Stay informed on market conditions, trends, and technologies in the raw materials chemical market; provide regular reporting on sourcing activities and supplier performance to senior management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.Minimum 7-10 years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management with a focus on raw material chemicals in chemical / manufacturing industries.Proven experience negotiating and managing contracts, achieving cost optimization, and maintaining supplier relationships.Strong understanding of global chemical markets, pricing dynamics, and supply chain risks.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze market data and identify trends impacting sourcing decisions.Expertise in supplier evaluation, risk management, and cost control.Proficiency with procurement software / tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.About Kenvue
