The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for supporting, customizing, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform to effectively support business processes and needs. The ServiceNow Developer ensures that ServiceNow applications meet the specific business needs. This role focuses on building and enhancing a custom application that allows data stewards and other users to easily maintain application and CMDB information.
Key Responsibilities
Customization and Development
- Create intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces using ServiceNow’s UI Builder to improve user experience and adoption
- Develop and implement customizations, modules, and functionality within ServiceNow using JavaScript, GlideScript, AngularJS, and other relevant technologies.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and applications using APIs and web services to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with data stewards and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Testing & Deployment : Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT);support deployment and post-release support activities.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization : Identify and resolve issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability of custom applications.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing : Maintain technical documentation for application logic, workflows, and UI components;support knowledge transfer across teams
- Best Practices and Standards : Adhere to and enforce ServiceNow development standards and best practices across development teams.

Keeping current with the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and best practices.Continuously improving technical skills and knowledge of relevant technologies.Qualifications
BA / BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent technical training.3+ years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.Proven experience with UI Builder and custom application development.Experience in ServiceNow scripting languages (e.G., JavaScript, GlideScript), custom development and platform customization.Understanding and use of various ServiceNow APIs (REST, SOAP) for integrating with external systems and applications.Experience in designing and configuring forms, workflows, business rules, UI policies, and other automation tools within ServiceNow.Knowledge of ServiceNow data structures, tables, and relationships, as well as experience with querying and manipulating data using GlideRecord.Knowledge of creating custom Service Portals using widgets, AngularJS, and HTML to deliver tailored user interfaces.Experience with ServiceNow administration tasks.Knowledge of capabilities and industry trends of managed platforms.ITIL certification (preferred)ServiceNow System Administrator certification (preferred)Key Competencies
