Overview
Audubon Construction Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented I&E Estimator to support our Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) construction operations. This role will be based out of our Bogotá, Colombia office and will play a key role in developing accurate, competitive estimates for industrial I&E construction projects, including compressor stations, meter stations, processing facilities, and midstream infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Analyze bid documents, construction drawings, and specifications to develop I&E construction estimates
- Develop quantity takeoffs for conduit, wire, panels, terminations, lighting, controls, and instrumentation
- Interpret one-line diagrams, loop diagrams, panel schedules, and control schematics
- Solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors for materials and services
- Support pricing of labor, equipment, and indirects using historical data and productivity factors
- Build structured estimate packages using estimating software and Excel
- Participate in internal estimate reviews and turnover meetings
- Assist with the development of budgets, change orders, and scope clarifications
- Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure alignment with project execution plans
- Support proposal preparation, bid strategy development, and customer presentations as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience estimating I&E construction projects in oil & gas, energy, or heavy industrial sectorsStrong working knowledge of I&E systems, materials, and installation practicesExperience reading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical drawings, and control documentationProficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating platforms (e.g., InEight, RSMeans, Sage Estimating, or similar) preferredStrong communication skills in English (written and verbal)Bilingual : English-Spanish fluency. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is critical, as this role will interface daily with project teams and stakeholders across the U.S.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications
Prior experience working for an EPC or self-perform construction companyDegree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Industrial Engineering, or related fieldFamiliarity with U.S. industry codes and standards (NEC, API, ISA)Ready to take the next step in your career?
