Overview
The Senior Managing Consultant (SMC) is responsible for selling and supporting the delivery of projects. The SMC manages the day-to-day relationship with clients and Mastercard internal stakeholders, helps to control the quality of the deliverables, and develops and delivers presentations.
Responsibilities
- Engage in effective working relationships with internal stakeholders (including the country manager and senior leadership) and external clients.
- Capture clients’ implicit business needs in addition to articulated requests and identify the most critical aspects of the problem to be solved.
- Lead formal and informal pitches, from storyboarding through face-to-face presentations, and create succinct, persuasive written materials tailored to the audience level.
- Effectively manage a pipeline of proposals from early leads through to signature.
- Deliver on revenue targets for Advisors.
- Support major Mastercard deals, including RFPs and cross-selling of value-added services (within and beyond Mastercard Advisors).
From Project Perspective
Coach and provide feedback to junior resources.Support the project team in problem-solving, structuring project work plans, prioritizing activities, and delivering presentations.Oversee the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of analyses; develop conclusions and recommendations.Education And Qualifications
Undergraduate degree requiredMBA or relevant postgraduate degree requiredExperience And Skills
6-8 years of work experience in a top-rated management consulting firm3-4 years of experience in managing projects and teamsPayments industry experience desirableAbility to work on a team or independentlyAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsLocal language and English proficiency requiredCorporate Security Responsibility
