$100,000.00 / yr - $120,000.00 / yr

Overview

We\'re urgently hiring a Senior Staff Engineer to join our growing LATAM-based remote team. We are transforming the $100B+ outdoor home services industry by helping homeowners book, manage, and enjoy services like lawn care and landscaping. We are investing in the next generation of our platform and are looking for a strong engineering leader to help drive it.

Our Tech Stack

  • Languages & Frameworks : PHP (Laravel), JavaScript (React, React Native, Vue)
  • Cloud Services : AWS (Lambda, ECS, EKS, Aurora, Redshift)
  • Approach : strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to learn and adapt to our stack

    • What you\'ll do

  • Collaborate on designing and implementing system architecture, technical strategy, and engineering standards
  • Lead technical initiatives across teams, ensuring alignment with architectural direction and goals
  • Build and maintain platform-level components, services, and libraries to improve efficiency and maintainability
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and hands-on guidance
  • Contribute to server-side and client-side development across the full stack
  • Write and review technical design documents, system diagrams, and reference implementations
  • Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and best practices to continuously improve the platform
  • Enhance observability, performance, scalability, and security across the system
  • Share knowledge to foster team growth and improvement

    • What we\'re looking for

  • Experience as a principal engineer, lead full-stack engineer, or in a similar senior role
  • Strong full-stack development skills (server-side and client-side)
  • Cloud development experience (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
  • Familiar with TDD, RESTful APIs, React, MVC frameworks, and security concerns (e.g., XSS)
  • Solid computer science fundamentals (Big O notation, data structures, etc.)
  • Database proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (CRUD, indexes, joins)
  • Cloud infrastructure expertise and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on clean code and reliable solutions
