Airbnb is expanding its Core Foundation Recruiting team and seeks an experienced, adaptable, and consultative Principal Recruiter to oversee various searches across the company.

The Difference You Will Make

As the Principal Recruiter, Americas Foundation you will lead global hiring efforts for our Operations teams, focused on expanding coverage across different specialty tiers, languages and regions based on where critical business needs are. You will be a strategic partner to operational leaders, driving the full-cycle recruiting process, developing market intelligence, and shaping our talent pipeline that will deliver world-class support experiences.

As the ideal candidate, you should have a track record of leading senior-level searches across various functions, with a deep understanding of Customer Support (CS) and / or Operations and extensive experience hiring at scale, globally and dealing with executive-level contacts. You will serve as a strategic talent advisor to hiring teams, providing guidance and expertise. A thorough understanding of target markets, interview best practices, assessment criteria, and competitive landscape is essential. Strong communication and influencing skills, sound professional judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment are required. A Typical Day

  • Attend weekly global meetings as the recruiting representative for operations with scaled hiring, providing proactive insights and updates on hiring progress and challenges.
  • Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to understand business needs, language requirements, and regional nuances for new market launches.
  • Send weekly hiring updates and funnel health reporting detailing candidate pipeline status, conversion rates, and bottlenecks.
  • Proactively identify and address potential escalations in recruiting, partnering with your manager, Talent and business leaders to resolve issues before they impact delivery.
  • Conduct market research and mapping to identify top talent aligned with Airbnb's needs.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to build relationships with potential future leaders.
  • Lead end-to-end searches for senior positions, ensuring a seamless transition from conception to start date and beyond.
  • Create an exceptional candidate experience with a hospitality-focused approach.
  • Establish yourself as an expert and market leader, fostering strong relationships with top talent.
  • Maintain data integrity and share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders to improve recruiting efficiency and influence hiring decisions.
  • Develop innovative sourcing and engagement strategies to support Airbnb's commitment to diverse teams.
  • Cultivate relationships with the broader recruiting team and cross-functional partners such as Talent, Diversity & Belonging, Compensation, and Legal.
  • Communicate effectively with business partners and hiring managers, establishing clear timelines, milestones, and expected outcomes.

Your Expertise

  • 12+ years of recruiting experience, particularly for Customer Support and / or Operations teams. Ideally a mix of agency and in-house roles.
  • Extensive experience driving large-scale, multilingual hiring campaigns and using data / analytics to showcase opportunities. Proven track record with senior leaders.
  • Strong consulting skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Keen ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices based on historical and current market trends.
  • Exceptional communication and professional judgment.
  • Ability to cut through complexity and deliver results in changing circumstances.
  • Autonomous, proactive mindset balanced with collaborative, team-oriented workstreams.
  • Experience solving complex hiring challenges independently.
  • Willingness to partner with peers and cross-functional teams across time zones in the Americas, EMEA and APAC.
  • Your Location

    This position is US - Remote and Canada - Remote Eligible with a strong preference for talent based on the Eastern US / Canada Time Zone due to the global span. May include occasional office work or offsite attendance as agreed with your manager. You must live in a state or province where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. In Canada, eligible locations include British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, or Saskatchewan. If your position is employed by another Airbnb entity, your recruiter will clarify eligible work locations.

    How We'll Take Care Of You

    Base pay is influenced by factors such as training, transferable skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. The base pay range shown is annualized, subject to change, and may be modified in the future. This role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

    Canada Pay Range

    $132,000—$165,000 CAD
