Sales Support Engineer

Job Description

This is a remote position.

Schedule : 40 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 7AM – 4PM Chicago, IL time

Includes 1-hour unpaid break

Responsibilities

Develop project scope of work documents for projects in bidding

Conduct cost analysis of materials and labor estimates in an organized manner

Handle projects that may be machinery and components or construction-related

Outreach to known vendors for component and material costing

Collaborate with the team to determine project timelines

Develop standardized costing and pricing tools in bidding

Deliver results efficiently by applying technical knowledge and experience to quickly master concepts and complete tasks

Skills & Requirements

High level of competency in a related technical field

Technical competence to understand project drawings and specifications

Ability to collaborate with design and sales teams to break down project tasks and estimate expenses

Excellent written English language skills

Background in metalworking, forming, or machining

Advanced user skills in MS Word and Excel

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu

Results-oriented, technically competent, with the ability to combine a strong technical background with practical experience to deliver high-quality outcomes
