Senior Consultant (Biz Ops Senior Consultant - Business Operations)
Location : Bogota, D.C., Capital District, Colombia
Education Level : Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Years of Experience : 4-5 years with previous experience in consulting practices. Proven experience in operations management, process improvement, or a similar role.
Job summary : The Senior Operations Consultant leads the strategic design and implementation of operational process improvements, driving significant gains in efficiency, productivity, and alignment with business objectives. This role provides expert guidance to project teams, mentors junior consultants, and manages complex improvement initiatives across multiple departments. This role involves independently evaluating and analyzing operational processes, developing and presenting improvement proposals, and planning and managing the transition of these processes.
Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Years of Experience : 3-5 years with previous experience in consulting practices. Proven experience in operations management, process improvement, or a similar role.
- Technical Skills :
- Word, Excel, Power point
- Experience Process Management tools (i.e. Visio)
- Experience in data analysis techniques and tools (SQL, MySQL, Excel)
- Experience with BI tools (Nice to have)
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) (Nice to have)
- Specific Knowledge :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant solutions and process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in process execution tools such as Power BI, Automate or other workflow automation platforms
- Strong proficiency in process execution tools (e.g., workflow management software).

Project Leadership and Guidance :Lead and manage complex operational improvement projects.Provide expert guidance to project teams.Foster their professional development.Stakeholder Engagement and Influence :Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.Effectively communicate the benefits of proposed process improvements.Influence senior management to support strategic initiatives.Gain buy-in.Risk Management and Mitigation :Identify and assess potential risks.Develop and implement comprehensive risk mitigation strategies.Ensure that risk management considerations are integrated into all project plans.Monitor project progress.Performance Monitoring and Reporting :Establish robust performance monitoring and reporting mechanisms.Track key performance indicators (KPIs).Identify areas for further optimization.Engagement Details
