Cloud9 exists to reinvent hospitality through automation and AI. Our mission : build the world’s first AI-powered operating system for multifamily short-term rentals.

We don’t hire to fill seats. We hire to pull levers that move KPIs. Intentions don’t count. Outcomes do.

Role Summary

This is a high-leverage marketing seat. If you succeed, you unlock $10M ARR in 9 months. Fail, and Cloud9 stalls.

You will :

  • Build Cloud9’s brand and direct demand engine.
  • Drive corporate B2C adoption (transient + block contracts) and B2B owner demand.
  • Architect funnel economics where CAC, CLTV, and ROI are tracked daily, not quarterly.

Warning : Managers who only “coordinate” will not survive here. We want killers who do the work, own the dashboards, and move the metrics.

Responsibilities (Outcomes, Not Tasks)

First 90 Days

  • Direct revenue lift : Show clear marketing contribution to Q4’s $2.3M company revenue target.
  • MQL engine : ≥50 / week by Day 30, ≥100 / week by Day 90; ≥70% sales-accepted.
  • Closed revenue : Deliver ≥$500K in closed B2C bookings by Day 90 (marketing-sourced + closed by sales).
  • Funnel visibility : Attribution dashboards live with ≥95% coverage by Day 60.
  • Content : ≥1 case study + ≥1 city launch narrative published by Day 90.
  • By 6 Months

  • Pipeline : Build marketing-sourced pipeline across B2C + B2B sufficient to fuel $10M ARR.
  • Market expansion : GTM playbooks for ≥2 new cities with measurable pipeline lift.
  • Content & PR : ≥2 case studies + ≥3 earned media placements / quarter.
  • Org build : Assemble minimum viable team (1 in-house + 1 agency).
  • By 9 Months

  • Funnel economics : CAC payback under 30 days.
  • Budget governance : All campaigns failing to meet targets.
  • Results (Success Looks Like…)

  • B2C direct revenue lift is visible by Day 30 and sustained by Day 90.
  • MQL engine delivers ≥50–100 / week, ≥70% sales-accepted.
  • ≥$500K in closed B2C bookings by Day 90.
  • Marketing-sourced pipeline in place to drive $10M ARR within 6 months.
  • CAC payback
  • ≥95% attribution coverage, dashboards live and trusted.
  • Case studies and media placements generate demand.
  • GTM playbooks drive measurable lift in new markets.
  • Minimum viable org built and delivering ARR leverage.
  • Requirements

  • 7+ years building startup marketing engines to $20M+ ARR.
  • Proven record in direct demand generation and funnel economics.
  • Tactical operator : builds dashboards, runs campaigns, holds agencies accountable.
  • Can walk step-by-step through how they moved KPIs in past roles.
  • Elite communicator, obsessed with speed and accountability.
  • Bonus levers

  • Proptech / hospitality / SaaS background.
  • ABM, local SEO, PR & comms.
  • Multi-market expansion campaigns.
  • Interview warning : You will be asked to walk step-by-step through how you personally moved a KPI. If you can’t, you don’t pass.
