Data Scientist – Capgemini Engineering (Colombia)

Role title : Data Scientist. The role focuses on developing recommendation models and conducting market basket analysis.

Responsibilities :

  • Build and optimize data pipelines to support recommendation models and market basket analysis.
  • Engineer features and transform data for better model performance.
  • Develop and train machine learning models for recommendations and association rule mining.
  • Perform market basket analysis to identify product affinities and enhance cross‑selling opportunities.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain models in production environments, serving them in real‑time or via APIs.
  • Collaborate with MLOps and cloud teams to ensure secure and scalable solutions; Azure / Databricks experience is preferred.

Qualifications :

  • Experience with recommendation systems and market basket analysis.
  • Strong skills in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit‑learn.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and MLOps practices.
  • Proficient in data processing, model training, and deployment.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and build gradient‑boosted decision tree models at large scale.
  • Research new modeling techniques for structured and unstructured data.

  • Implement models in Earnix and other platforms.

  • Qualifications :
