Overview
Accounts Payable Lead role at Monks. You’ll oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable function for a high-growth shared services environment, acting as the primary liaison across vendors and internal teams to ensure accurate accounting, policy and tax compliance, timely disbursements, and continual process optimization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Accounts Payable team, ensuring balanced workload distribution
- Supervise invoice intake, validation, coding, and supplier reconciliation
- Ensure on-time payments in alignment with policies, controls, and cash flow priorities
- Review and approve AP reconciliations, aging reports, and monthly close deliverables
- Manage key vendor relationships; resolve billing disputes and discrepancies
- Monitor and report AP KPIs (aging, throughput, discounts captured, exceptions)
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, local tax regulations, and audit requirements
- Identify and execute process improvements; support automation and digitalization initiatives
- Partner with Treasury / Finance on cash flow projections and payment scheduling
- Report periodically to the Head of SS on AP status, risks, and improvement plans
- Other duties as assigned
About You — Qualifications & Skills
4–6 years of relevant AP experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead roleBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fieldStrong knowledge of accounting principles and local tax regulationsAdvanced Excel skills; proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)Intermediate to advanced English communication skillsLeadership and team management capabilitiesStrong organization, planning, and attention to detailAnalytical, results-oriented, and KPI-driven mindsetExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAdaptability with a continuous improvement focusAbout Monks
