Managing Director – Finance Transformation Strategy

A retained search is underway to identify a Managing Director to lead and scale the Finance Strategy practice at a rapidly growing advisory firm known for its deep CFO partnerships and execution-first culture.

This is a pivotal opportunity to shape the future of finance for Fortune 1000 clients—reimagining how finance functions operate, deliver insight, and enable strategic decision-making. You will lead end-to-end transformation programs, guide senior finance leaders, and build a world-class team at the intersection of finance, technology, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle finance transformation engagements, from strategy through implementation
• Advise CFOs on operating model design, process optimization, and technology enablement (ERP, EPM)
• Track record of leveraging technology and automation (Power BI, Tableau, UI Path, etc.) to drive efficiency
• Build future-state finance functions, including shared services and centers of excellence
• Drive measurable improvement across FP&A, R2R, P2P, O2C, and performance management
• Collaborate across practices to deliver integrated solutions in accounting advisory, M&A, and digital enablement
• Lead go-to-market efforts, thought leadership, and talent development to scale the practice
• 15+ years of experience in finance transformation, shared services, or operating model design
• Proven track record leading complex programs and delivering sustainable performance improvements
• Exceptional communication skills with experience influencing CFOs and executive leadership
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the vision and drive to grow a high-impact consulting practice
