Job Description Mobile Engineer (React Native + iOS Modules)

Engagement : Full-time

Location : Remote Latin America

About the Role

We re looking for a Mobile Engineer (React Native + iOS Modules) to help us design and build a suite of native iOS widgets and custom Expo modules that extend our React Native app .

You ll work at the intersection of React Native and native iOS development , helping bridge functionality between the JavaScript and Swift layers. This role is ideal for someone comfortable working with React Native and Expo , and also enjoys exploring Swift and SwiftUI to create native extensions and seamless integrations.

What You ll Do

  • Design, build, and deploy native iOS widgets using Swift that integrate with our React Native (Expo) application.
  • Develop and maintain custom Expo modules to bridge native functionality with the React Native layer.
  • Collaborate with internal engineers to define architecture, performance goals, and integration strategies.
  • Optimize UI and data handling for widget responsiveness and reliability.
  • Deliver consistent output typically 1 2 widgets per week aligned with product goals and timelines.
  • Ensure smooth integration, testing, and release cycles within the existing CI / CD pipeline

What We re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in iOS development (Swift / SwiftUI).
  • Hands-on experience creating Expo modules or native bridges for React Native apps.
  • Strong understanding of React Native , Expo SDK , and TypeScript / JavaScript fundamentals.
  • Experience building widgets or extensions for iOS (Today View, Lock Screen, Home Screen).
  • Familiarity with GitHub , CI / CD , and modern Apple frameworks .
  • Excellent debugging, communication, and documentation skills.

    • Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with fintech, payments , or large-scale consumer apps (100k+ users).
  • Knowledge of Okta, Firebase , or Cursor .
  • Experience contributing to open-source React Native or Expo libraries .
