What You Will Do

The TRADE OPERATIONS LEAD CONSUMER is responsible for supervising day-to-day transportation service operations, implementing policies and procedures, scheduling domestic and international shipments, and coordinating negotiations with carriers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all trade operations activities for consumer products for CAM region
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards in trade operations
  • Monitor logistics invoices for discrepancies and implement programs to support logistics initiatives
  • Schedules domestic and international shipments of freight and determines procedures to provide cost savings and delivery efficiencies.
  • Solves supplier quality problems and improves business processes.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to optimize trade operations efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in trade operations processes
  • Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to make data-driven decisions in trade operations
  • Develop and implement transportation service policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new transportation features and technologies
  • Supervise day-to-day transportation service operations to meet customer service levels and revenue objectives
  • Implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and improve application performance
  • Coordinate and negotiate transportation service agreements and contracts with carriers
  • Conduct research on transportation methods, rates, and routes to improve profitability and minimize risk
  • Provide recommendations on carrier selection and routing for all shipments
  • Implements transportation service policies, standards, guidelines, technology and procedures.
  • Initiates investigations into causes of damage or shortages, evaluates cost of damages, files claims and processes claim including collection.

Required Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International trade or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in consumer trade operations
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • In-depth understanding of international trade regulations
  • Demonstrated experience with foreign trade operations in Central America, including knowledge of regional regulations and logistics
  • Cost Control Expertise : Strong expertise in cost management and control.
  • Proficient in Spanish (native) and intermediate proficiency in English
  • Desired Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of consumer market trends
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing inventive strategies for consumer trade
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate interdisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and synergy.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) and experience in implementing process enhancements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
