Brief Call : Our process typically begins with a brief virtual / phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team : your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris : our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study : Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Legal Officer to join our dynamic and international legal team at Amaris Consulting. This role is ideal for a legal professional with strong expertise in labor, corporate, and commercial law, particularly in Latin American (LATAM) jurisdictions.

As part of our global operations, you will play a key role in advising on legal matters across multiple countries, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic business decisions. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to maintaining high legal standards across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on labor law matters across LATAM, including complex employee relations, disciplinary processes, terminations, and employment contract negotiations.
• Draft, review, and update employment agreements, corporate policies, and internal procedures in accordance with local legal requirements.
• Monitor and analyze changes in labor, corporate, and commercial legislation; communicate implications to relevant stakeholders proactively.
• Advise on cross-border employment issues, including expatriation processes and international assignments.
• Review, draft, and support the negotiation of commercial agreements to ensure compliance with legal standards and alignment with corporate objectives.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel for specialized legal matters when necessary.
• Deliver training sessions and workshops for HR and management teams on relevant legal topics.
