Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper to join a specialized team focused on real estate investment accounting. You’ll work with cutting-edge custom systems and established processes while maintaining the autonomy to manage your workload effectively. The role offers immediate engagement with substantial project work, including catch-up bookkeeping for growing client portfolios, and the potential for career advancement as the team expands. You’ll be working with both modern cloud-based platforms and sophisticated Excel solutions designed specifically for real estate investment tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Process and categorize financial transactions for diverse real estate investment client portfolios
  • Apply specialized tagging systems to distinguish between property-specific transactions and general business expenses
  • Generate comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
  • Master both QuickBooks Online and proprietary Excel templates engineered for real estate investment tracking
  • Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Participate in strategic team meetings twice weekly to review progress, priorities, and client needs
  • Execute comprehensive catch-up bookkeeping projects for clients with backlogged records, including full-year reconciliations
  • Ensure all financial records are current, properly organized, and optimized for seamless tax preparation workflows
  • Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven bookkeeping experience with demonstrated accuracy and reliability
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) with hands-on experience in complex account structures
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills including formula creation, data analysis, and custom template development
  • Experience with real estate or investment property accounting strongly preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of maintaining accurate financial records
  • Self-motivated professional capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and professional communication skills
  • Flexibility to collaborate across different time zones and adapt to client scheduling needs
  • Spanish language skills optional but valued (premium compensation available for bilingual candidates)

    Requirements
