About the role
The Private Equity desk at Dialectica is experiencing strong growth, resulting in opportunities for talented and ambitious business development individuals to work directly with some of the world’s leading private equity firms. This is a role that will challenge and develop one’s commercial acumen, sales, content creation and marketing skills.
The Business Development team members will be responsible for attracting new accounts by focusing on lead generation. This is a Bogota-based role that will focus on enabling Dialectica’s further expansion in NAMER-based Private Equity accounts and will work closely & have regular interaction with our Sales and Client Service team.
The role will be reporting to Natalia Gonzalez, Junior Manager, Growth and Innovation..
Responsibilities
In principle, you just need to do whatever it takes to activate those accounts but more specifically your responsibilities will include :
Develop a deep understanding of Dialectica’s services portfolioDrive new client acquisition and business origination through selective team / account targeting and identification of key stakeholders within accounts of interestEngage with target professionals to understand their unique information needs and scope how Dialectica can support themPosition Dialectica’s value proposition to ensure project generation and new client sign-ups through the leveraging of headlines and news from research platformsTake ownership of the content matchmaking to prospect clients and support the sales life cycle process (prospect to project generation and client onboarding)Collaborate with a variety of Client Service / internal teams to maximize the use of our servicesAssist in the creation of marketing material and customized content for key accountsMonitor news and target account updates to develop compelling content for leadsA typical day as a Business Development Team Member :
Understand the accounts and users assigned to you - their seniority, fund structure, investment approach and focus.Working alongside product teams to match custom content to relevant accounts.Implement email cadences to create new logo interest and increasing awareness of Dialectica’s innovative products.Set up daily meetings with prospect accounts, inviting senior Sales team members alongside you to engage, source trials and then convert to paid contracts.Utilize calls, emails and social networks to engage and build strong relationships with investment professionals, ensure continued awareness of Dialectica’s value proposition and generate new projects. Nurture leads over a 3-12 month period.Attend key meetings and maintain current and accurate account intelligence and feedback to improve our client activation processesRequirements
Our future Dialectica team member has :
Undergraduate degree or higher with a solid academic performance and extracurricular leadership demonstration2-3 years of experience in lead prospecting and / or business development. Understanding and / or involvement in PE, Investment Banks and / or consulting is highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to run and handle 3-5 month B2B sales cadences with a disciplined approach to outbound communications, emails and cold calls.Demonstrable relationship building & sales skills combined with a proactive, self-starter attitudeExcellent written and verbal communicationsAbility to work independently and in teamsInterest in the financial services sector, particularly private marketsA high degree of flexibility and creativity in how they approach situationsProficient in English.Benefits
