Job Summary :
The Human Resources (HR) Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of the organization’s human resources functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws and alignment with organizational values. This role supports leadership and staff in cultivating a positive, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement, growth, and retention. The HR Manager will manage day-to-day HR operations, including serving as the primary liaison with the organization’s third-party HR provider, overseeing performance management, benefits administration, training, employee relations, and policy development.
Key Responsibilities
Third-Party HR Liaison
Serve as the main point of contact between the organization and its external HR service provider.Coordinate with the third-party HR provider on matters including payroll processing, benefits administration, employee onboarding / offboarding, and compliance updates.Ensure timely communication between internal staff and the HR provider to address employee questions, policy changes, and HR support needs.Collaborate with leadership and the HR provider to develop and implement HR-related systems, reports, and compliance initiatives.Monitor the quality and timeliness of services provided and make recommendations for improvement as needed.Employee Relations and Performance
Serve as the primary internal contact for employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent resolution aligned with company policy and culture.Manage the annual performance review process and assist supervisors with goal setting and feedback delivery.Support employee development through training initiatives, coaching, and career growth planning.Compliance and Policy Management
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Update and enforce HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook incoordination with the HR provider.Ensure proper recordkeeping and documentation for audits and legal compliance.Compensation and Benefits Administration
Oversee employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, 401k, leave, etc.) in collaboration with the HR provider.Work with the Director of Operations and Finance team on payroll and compensation reviews.Assist in evaluating benefit offerings and making recommendations for plan improvements.Culture and Engagement
Champion initiatives that promote employee engagement, wellness, and recognition.Help foster a respectful, mission-driven, and inclusive workplace culture.Plan and coordinate staff events and professional development opportunities.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field requiredMinimum 5 years of progressively responsible HR experience.PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.Strong understanding of US employment law, HR best practices, and HRIS systems (experience with BambooHR is a plus).Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity.Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all HR practices.Independent Contractor Perks :

Requirements
