Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Analyst (TPA) to join the design system team. In this role, you will help organize and manage backlog operations for the design system platform, while acting as a bridge between stakeholders, designers, engineers, and agile leaders. You will be key in ensuring accessibility by design, fostering cross-discipline collaboration, and driving measurable adoption of the design system.
Responsibilities
- Backlog Management : Collaborate with the Product Owner (PO) and Scrum Master (SM) to organize and prioritize backlog scope for the Design System Platform. Refine backlog items (features, components, tasks), ensuring clear definitions and dependencies. Ensure delivered components meet accessibility, scalability, and usability standards.
- Accessibility Standards Integration : Champion WCAG 2.2 AA compliance in backlog items from design to development. Collaborate with accessibility experts to ensure consistent testing and validation. Advocate for inclusive design practices across disciplines.
- Cross-Team Collaboration : Liaise with design, engineering, research, and strategy stakeholders to align timelines and priorities. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile Ceremonies : Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Collaborate with the PO as a proxy in refining priorities and accepting stories when needed.
- Technical Awareness : Maintain practical familiarity with frameworks such as React, Next.js, and Node.js. Translate technical discussions into business / design perspectives and vice versa.
- Delivery Support : Support QA and UAT processes for new components, ensuring design-to-code parity. Advocate for adoption of design system components by demonstrating measurable value.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Analyst, Associate Product Owner, or Product Analyst, ideally in digital platforms, web components, or design systems.Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, Node.js) from a requirement-gathering perspective.Experience working with design tools (Figma) and component libraries (Storybook).Proven ability to integrate accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA) into US / Canada-based projects.Expertise with agile backlog tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).Strong communication and facilitation skills in cross-disciplinary settings.Benefits
