Summary Of The Role
As a Product Manager for Data & AI Products, you will own a portfolio of data‑centric offerings — ranging from APIs and data services to advanced analytics and AI-powered applications. You will define vision and strategy, guide product development, and deliver measurable value to airlines. You’ll work at the intersection of product strategy, data science, and airline operations, collaborating closely with R&D, data engineering, customer success, and business leaders. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex customer problems with data and who wants to shape the next generation of travel technology.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Vision
- Define and own the data & AI product roadmap, aligned with Navitaire's goals and customer needs.
- Translate strategy into actionable plans, with clear objectives, measurable outcomes, and timelines.
- Drive co‑innovation with airlines, transforming customer challenges into validated product concepts, MVPs, and scalable solutions.
Execution & Delivery
Lead the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to ensure features are technically sound, scalable, and deliver customer impact.Act as Product Owner where applicable, maximizing agile team output.Customer & Market Leadership
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and sharpen positioning.Partner with Product Marketing to craft compelling value propositions and go‑to‑market strategies.Embed best practices in usability, scalability, and data quality into product design.Operational Excellence
Monitor product usage and KPIs, using insights to drive continuous improvement.Support resource planning and alignment with R&D capacity.Guide technology partnerships and joint innovation opportunities.Ideal Candidate
Background & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or related field.3+ years in product management or leadership in data / AI product development, with a track record of delivering successful products.Strong knowledge of modern data and AI ecosystems, including SQL, Python, Polars / Pandas, RESTful APIs, Cloud Platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS), Data Warehousing & Data Lakes (Snowflake, BigQuery, Delta Lake), Data Processing & Pipelines (Spark, Airflow), Event Streaming (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs), NLP, Foundational Models, Prompt Engineering, RAG, MCP, & applied AI / ML use cases.Skills & Mindset
Excellent storytelling and communication skills to influence diverse stakeholders.Data‑driven decision maker, skilled in using KPIs, telemetry, and customer insights.Familiarity with Agile, Lean, and SAFe practices.Passion for travel technology; airline industry experience is a plus.Ability to travel ~10%.What We Can Offer You
