Technical Business Analyst – Counterparty Credit Risk Application
Scotia GBS, a Scotiabank Group company located in Bogota, Colombia, is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support the Counterparty Credit Risk application within the Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) team.
Overview
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will partner with cross‑functional teams including engineers, solutions architects, and business partners to develop and implement market‑leading solutions that are scalable and deliver excellence across the business.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with risk management teams to gather requirements and provide updates on progress.
- Work alongside other BAs, developers, and project managers to generate business requirements and documents aligned to policies.
- Analyze existing processing and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Develop technical requirements and reference documentation for new technology and software.
- Design functional test cases and support testing during development.
- Review test results and recommend corrective actions for complex issues across application boundaries.
- Communicate findings and facilitate presentations to stakeholders and management.
- Exercise initiative and sound judgment in executing project plans and schedules, including ad‑hoc work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
3 to 5+ years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst.3 to 5+ years’ recent experience with capital markets risk and financial risk (CCR calculation and work with complex financial instruments).3 to 5+ years’ experience with Python shell scripting.Recent experience in Sybase, Postgres SQL.Hands‑on experience with Unix / Linux.Experience working across multiple teams and functions to ensure alignment.Experience with all phases of SDLC.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of the bank’s application system and software from a business / technical viewpoint.Experience with JIRA and Confluence.Benefits
