The Operations team consists of Procurement Support Services, Source-to-Pay (S2P) Adoption and Payment operations.Accountabilities- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.- Supports and contributes to the creation of roadmaps including strategic and tactical initiatives, to enable the vision and achieve operational goals and objectives of the department.- Defines, prioritizes, business cases, budgets, schedules and deliver initiatives through their team to align with the business strategy and meet the department operational needs.- Ensures change management plans are socialized, approved, and effective for all campaigns and initiatives.- Oversees communications for status reporting of all initiatives, campaigns, and regular compliance monitoring ensuring timely, consistent, delivery, with appropriate insights included.- In conjunction with the Director, GBS Procurement, recruits, selects and onboards permanent and contract staff. - Manages team by setting performance expectations, monitoring performance, providing coaching and feedback including the preparation of performance appraisals, and supporting individual personal development plans.- Ensures Operational Level Agreements are met and addresses barriers to achieving amenable and timely resolution to escalated issues. - Leads, supervises and assigns Cross Functional Initiatives across the department.- Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.- Creates an environment in which his / her team pursues effective and efficient Support Services Operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML / ATF / sanctions and conduct risk.- Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset ad behaviours; communicating vison / values / business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.Reporting Relationships (Job Titles only)Primary Manager : (include secondary Manager if applicable)
