Position: Senior Civil Designer / Civil 3D Designer (Bogotá Colombia)Location: Bogotá ColombiaEmployment Type: Full-Time OnsiteJob DescriptionAt Pond we are seeking a Senior Civil Designer / Civil 3D Designer to join our growing Civil Engineering team in Bogotá Colombia. This position will support a diverse portfolio of U.S.-based infrastructure energy industrial and site development projects while serving as a senior technical resource for the Bogotá Civil ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD with extensive experience developing civil design deliverables for earthworks grading roadway design drainage systems stormwater ponds ditches pipeline corridors and site development projects. This individual will play a key role in the production of high-quality engineering deliverables from conceptual and FEED studies through detailed design and construction addition to technical production this role will help strengthen drafting quality standardization and Civil 3D workflows across the Bogotá office. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of client drafting standards CAD organization quality control and consistent drawing production while serving as a mentor to other designers and collaborating closely with engineering teams in the United and maintain Civil 3D models for grading earthworks roads drainage systems stormwater ponds ditches utility corridors pipeline alignments and site development high-quality grading plans plan and profile drawings cross sections construction drawings sketches and supporting civil design existing ground surfaces and terrain models using survey data from multiple sources including conventional survey information and when available LiDAR surface modeling corridor modeling earthwork calculations quantity takeoffs and Material Take-Off (MTO) estimates using Autodesk Civil engineering design activities during Conceptual Design FEED Detailed Design and Construction Design closely with Civil Engineers and multidisciplinary teams including Structural Mechanical Process Electrical Environmental and Survey disciplines in a global workshare drawings and design models to ensure compliance with project requirements client standards company CAD standards and industry best or actively support drafting standardization initiatives including the implementation of client drafting standards CAD workflows drawing templates layer management and document QA/QC reviews of civil drawings and design models to ensure technical accuracy consistency and high-quality project and provide technical guidance to junior civil designers while promoting drafting best practices and continuous project teams with estimating drafting effort planning deliverables and meeting project schedules and to process improvements that enhance efficiency consistency and quality across civil design and ExperienceTechnical degree Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Civil Engineering Technology Drafting or a related discipline.8 years of experience in civil design supporting infrastructure industrial energy utility or site development -level proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and experience with earthworks modeling grading design roadway design drainage systems ponds ditches pipeline corridors and site creating terrain models and existing ground surfaces from survey information. Experience processing LiDAR data into terrain models is highly preparing grading plans civil construction drawings plan and profile sheets cross sections and related engineering understanding of QA/QC procedures drafting standards CAD management drawing organization and quality supporting FEED detailed engineering and construction design collaborating with international engineering teams in a workshare working proficiency in English (B2 or higher preferred) with strong written and verbal communication ability to mentor and support other civil designers while promoting technical excellence and consistency across project understanding of client drafting standards and the ability to implement and maintain standardized Civil 3D QualificationsExperience developing or implementing drafting standards CAD standards templates or office-wide design with design automation computational design or workflow improvement knowledge of one or more of the following technologies is considered a strong plus:PythonDynamoVBAC#JavaScript / or other version control systemsExperience identifying opportunities to improve civil design efficiency through automation scripting or process salary with opportunities for career advancement and professional to work on complex infrastructure industrial and energy projects throughout the United work environment with multidisciplinary international engineering technical training and opportunities to contribute to Civil 3D standardization innovation and design automation initiatives.
