Work Arrangement Work from Home Schedule Mid shift Bank Feed Management Regularly monitor bank feeds for accuracy and functionality. Promptly address and resolve any issues that may arise. Update bank feeds to ensure seamless data flow. Transaction Posting Accurately post financial transactions using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Xero accounting software. Maintain organized and up‑to‑date financial records. Conduct regular reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Accrual Spreadsheets Update accrual spreadsheets to reflect current financial information by reviewing the balance sheet on a monthly basis. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of accrued expenses. Including but not limited to reconciliation of prepaid expenses, accrued vacation, fixed assets, and payroll liability accounts. Knowledge of allocation of expenses to programs. Payroll Processing Collaborate with 3rd party payroll service providers to process payroll efficiently and accurately. Verify payroll information and address any discrepancies. Ensure payroll transactions are accurately posted to the accounting records on an accrual basis in a timely manner. Reconcile all payroll liability accounts on an accrual basis and maintain annual reconciliation to payroll tax returns. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide detailed financial reports to support decision‑making processes. Client Interface Have the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with clients to resolve coding and other issues. Be proactive regarding client needs. Ensure the client experience is exceptional. Compliance Stay informed about US accounting regulations and ensure compliance with relevant financial standards. Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits and regulatory filings. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Relevant qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance At least 2+ years of experience in an accounting role Experience in and accounting standards Proficiency in MS Office Experience with Quickbooks online and Xero accounting software. Knowledge of 3rd party payroll programs such as Gusto, Paycom, Paylocity. Practical understanding of 3rd party accounting software such as Bill.com, Divvy, Brex. Soft Skills High attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical skills Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong understanding of accrual bookkeeping and exposure to US accounting. Proven ability to handle the bookkeeping for multiple clients. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Knowledge of US regulations and compliance requirements. Effective communication skills within a team environment. Responsive to team members requests Bachelor's degree in Accounting Experience working in an accounting firm environment Practical experience with QuickBooks online Above the average English speaking Comfortable with a wide‑variety of technology Experience working on multiple clients at a time.
