About the Role

We are looking for a Microservices Developer to support the development and delivery of microservices for a new MSP solution.

Working closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams, you will build and maintain backend services following established architecture, coding standards, security practices, and development guidelines.

This is an opportunity for a developer looking to strengthen their experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, AWS, APIs, databases, and modern cloud-native development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and work with JSON-based data.
  
• Implement features following established architecture, coding standards, and development guidelines.
  
• Work with SQL and/or NoSQL databases as part of microservice development.
  
• Support authentication and authorization implementations.
  
• Work with messaging and event-driven communication patterns.
  
• Implement logging, monitoring, and basic observability practices.
  
• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolution of application issues.
  
• Write unit tests and contribute to maintaining code quality.
  
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with other developers and cross-functional teams.
  
• Contribute to CI/CD and deployment processes.
  
• Document development work and participate in knowledge sharing.
  
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver them within agreed timelines.

• Messaging: Awareness of messaging and event-driven architecture concepts.
  
• Security: Basic understanding of authentication and authorization.
  
• DevOps: Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerization.
  
• Observability: Basic understanding of logging, monitoring, and application observability.
  
• Testing: Basic unit testing and debugging skills, particularly with JUnit.
