At Roofs in a Box (RIB), we connect U.S. roofing and construction companies with highly skilled remote professionals who become an extension of their teams. Our contractors work closely with U.S.-based businesses to provide reliable, specialized support while helping companies grow efficiently.
We are currently seeking a Cold Caller / Telemarketer to support our client's sales and marketing efforts by proactively contacting prospective homeowners, qualifying leads, and scheduling appointments for the sales team.
Position Overview
The Cold Caller / Telemarketer will be responsible for making a high volume of outbound calls to prospective customers, following an established script and call strategy, identifying customer interest, and converting qualified prospects into scheduled in-home consultations.
The ideal candidate is a confident and persuasive communicator who is comfortable making cold calls, handling objections, engaging homeowners in conversation, and consistently working toward daily and weekly appointment-setting goals.
This position requires someone who is results-driven, resilient, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cold Calling & Appointment Setting
Make a high volume of outbound calls to prospective homeowners using company-provided lead lists.
Follow established cold-calling scripts, talking points, and proven call strategies.
Clearly communicate the value of the Company's roofing and home improvement services.
Identify and qualify prospects based on their needs, interest, and eligibility.
Overcome common objections and maintain productive conversations with prospective customers.
Schedule qualified homeowners for in-home consultations with the sales team.
Follow up with warm leads and prospects who have previously expressed interest.
Consistently meet or exceed daily and weekly call volume and appointment-setting targets.
Lead & CRM Management
Accurately document call outcomes, customer information, qualification details, and follow-up requirements in the CRM.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead information to support sales team visibility and follow-up.
Ensure all customer interactions and appointment information are properly recorded.
Help maintain lead data quality and identify discrepancies or incomplete information.
Customer Communication
Respond professionally to customer questions and initial inquiries.
Listen actively to homeowners and identify their needs before recommending the next step.
Provide a positive customer experience during every interaction.
Communicate professionally and respectfully, including when handling difficult conversations or objections.
Follow up consistently with leads according to established processes.
Training & Continuous Improvement
Participate in regular training and coaching sessions.
Continuously improve product knowledge, communication skills, objection handling, and appointment-setting techniques.
Apply feedback from management and sales leadership to improve call performance.
Stay adaptable as scripts, campaigns, lead sources, and processes evolve.
Support the Company's transition toward a more digital-first marketing and lead-generation strategy.

Experience
1+ year of professional experience in cold calling, telemarketing, appointment setting, inside sales, or a call center environment preferred.
Experience in roofing, home improvement, construction, or other home services is a plus but not required.
Language Skills
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with U.S.-based homeowners.
Ability to understand and follow scripts, instructions, correspondence, and CRM notes.
Computer Skills
Comfortable working with CRM systems and web-based software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
Experience with Lead Perfection is a plus.
Ability to learn and navigate new systems and technology quickly.
