Overview
Join our LATAM data team and help build trusted data that supports country onboarding, platform stability, and better decisions. This role matters because the data you help move, shape, and protect will be used across the OPTIMA LATAM ecosystem. We are hiring two Data Engineers with shared coverage across migration, integration, OneSource, and data quality. One role will lean more toward migration and integration. The other will lean more toward OneSource and data platform engineering. Both roles will work closely together and share knowledge to reduce single-person dependency and keep delivery moving. You will help create reliable data pipelines, stronger controls, and clear documentation. You will also help improve how teams work with data across countries. At Gallagher, we value inclusion, growth, wellbeing, and purpose. How you'll make an impact Help deliver reliable data solutions that support country migrations and ongoing platform needs. Improve how data moves across systems so teams can trust what they use every day. Build reusable pipelines, checks, and controls that make future onboarding faster and safer. Strengthen data quality through profiling, validation, reconciliation, and clear issue resolution. Support stable OneSource data products that are easy to maintain and scale. Reduce risk by improving observability, error handling, and production readiness. Work with engineers, business teams, and country partners to turn needs into practical data solutions. Share knowledge through clear documentation, cross-training, and collaborative ways of working. Use artificial intelligence tools responsibly to support development, testing, and documentation. Help create a team environment where learning, inclusion, and shared ownership are part of the work. About you You may be a strong fit if you bring: 4 or more years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, data integration, data migration, or a related field. Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building production data pipelines and transformations. Experience with cloud data platforms, ideally Snowflake. Practical experience with dbt, Fivetran, or similar ingestion and transformation tools. Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Astronomer, or similar platforms. Experience with data migration work, including source analysis, mapping, profiling, validation, and reconciliation. A good understanding of data warehousing, layered architecture, dimensional modeling, application programming interfaces, and data products. Experience using Git, continuous integration and continuous delivery, automated testing, and environment promotion. The ability to troubleshoot data issues across systems and explain technical topics clearly. Comfort working across countries and with both technical and non-technical partners. Practical use of artificial intelligence in engineering work, with good judgment and validation. English and Spanish fluency. Portuguese is a strong plus. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or similar experience.
