Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee timely and accurate management of general accounting and reporting processes, including but not limited to processing journal entries, calculating accruals, and managing allocations.
- Take ownership of ensuring proper reconciliation of reports and accounts, implementing advanced techniques to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Ensure strict compliance with local accounting and tax regulations, policies, and procedures, providing guidance and support to junior team members.
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of tax filings, including ICA, IVA, Renta, and other statutory obligations, ensuring full compliance with Colombian tax authorities and local regulations.
- Act as a primary point of contact for coordination with Local Office, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Take charge of monthly closing activities and lead the reconciliation of balance sheets, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accuracy standards.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and sharing best practices across the team.
- Provide mentorship and support to the team, assisting in the achievement of performance objectives and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting / Finance or relatedExtensive experience in BPO / SSC / Centralized delivery model.Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting.Proficient in ensuring accurate reconciliation of reports and accounts.What’s in it for you?
