About the Role
The Business Development Director is a key position with the primary goal of acquiring new business and growing a portfolio of commercial accounts including but not limited to technical, engineering, life sciences, and non-IT categories in the commercial sector.
What will you be doing day to day?
- Develop and implement an effective sales plan to meet or exceed sales objectives in acquiring new clients.
- Collaborate with a team of lead generators to ensure the right pitch and engagement tools to bring good leads to your desk.
- Identify and work with the proposal team to identify and fill RFIs and RFPs in the commercial space.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers for all staffing needs and partner with them on filling their needs exclusively.
- Manage and penetrate existing and new accounts to fulfill client staffing needs with timely delivery.
- Conduct regular onsite visits with clients and build rapport to foster long-lasting relationships.
- Attend community networking events to create additional business relationships.
- Work with hiring leaders, department heads, stakeholders, decision-makers, and procurement teams to identify critical needs.
- Stay informed about industry trends and identify new opportunities to grow your portfolio.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Your Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience or education10+ years in Sales and Business Development5+ years in MSP / VMS, Direct and SOW-based clients in the commercial sectorExperience leading teams of lead generation specialistsExperience sourcing, qualifying, and filling RFIs / RFPsExperience in building sales automation systems, processes, and leveraging technologies and AI in automating tasks and outreachYour Skills
