Director, Sales Readiness – Job Description
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Bogota. Expectation of days in office is Monday through Friday.

This role is focused on enabling sales leaders and representatives to apply training, leverage resources, and engage with customers in real-world scenarios. You will collaborate with the LAC Digital Sales team, functional partners, and the global Digital Sales enablement team to develop practical, data-driven solutions that transform sales processes for Digital Sellers and Business Development Representatives.
Responsibilities
- Engage with new hires, current team members, and sales leaders to deepen practical understanding of Visa products and sales strategies through real-world application.
- Localize and execute the digital sales readiness and enablement strategy, including onboarding and regional initiatives.
- Lead onboarding and advanced live training sessions, ensuring an engaging training experience for new hires.
- Provide real-time coaching on lead management, prospecting, objection handling, deal strategy, negotiation, and tools training.
- Organize and facilitate sales skills workshops to improve real-world seller performance.
- Partner with the global Digital Sales enablement lead to optimize coaching through technology and design.
- Conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and role-playing to reinforce key sales competencies and tailor solutions to end-user needs.
- Support targeted sales programs to increase pipeline and revenue through practical training application.
- Provide real-time coaching with sales and demand response teams, including client conversations support.
- Analyze data to identify training needs and measure regional readiness program effectiveness.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to align stakeholders behind a regional sales readiness calendar.
- Ensure relevant value propositions for customer segments and promote their practical use by the sales team.
- Promote sharing of best practices across the region.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of readiness initiatives.
- This role is highly commercial and analytical, focusing on readiness for real-world sales interactions.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Ten or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least eight years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master’s / MBA / JD / MD), or at least three years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
12+ years with a Bachelor’s; 8–10 years with an Advanced Degree; 6+ years with a PhD.Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency preferred.Continuous improvement mentality; strong analytical and commercial experience.Experience in a full-cycle sales role, sales readiness, or related field focused on onboarding and skills development.Experience coaching and delivering value selling or solution selling programs aligned to a sales methodology.Client-facing experience guiding sales executives as trusted advisors with deep business knowledge.Strong teaching ability and adult learning principles; able to deliver engaging, hands-on programs.Proven ability to deliver in-person and virtual training to diverse, multi-cultural teams.Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills across seniority levels.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple training initiatives.Proficiency in Spanish and English; experience with a sales learning platform (e.g., Highspot).Additional Information
